The following are some qualities a good leader should have:

Be a Role Model

Set yourself as an example in front of other people. Don't be afraid to be unique. Show respect and concern for your team members, always inspire them to push their boundaries. Act like the leader you think you can be.

Take Responsibility

A leader should accept their share of responsibility for his/her teams shortcomings or failures. And then, together, find a solution and learn from these situations.

Be Creative

A leader should come up with ideas that motivates and inspire a team. Think outside of the box. Don't be afraid to experiment and keep trying until you've found an idea that works.

Listen to Others

Leaders become better by addressing the issues of their peers. Listen to see what they need. It's a hard skill to master, but it's a golden trait that many who look up to you, will love and appreciate.

Team Building Events

Organize frequent team events to help build strong relationships with your team. Whether the events are held onsite at the business or offsite, fraternizing between work mates allows people to get to know their fellow team members on levels other than work related issues. This is a good way to build commradery that will cement strong working relationships.

One person can't do everything. In order to accomplish something, it's always about support and a concerted team effort. You should always be available to support your team. People love support, and they need it. Just like you do. A culture of togetherness will develop.

Create more leaders

Don't try to be the only one. Mentor others to become leaders. Let mistakes happen. Let them get their hands dirty. And, let them learn. Coach them to be the rockstars you want them to be.

Be yourself

Don't try to be someone else. People look up to you for a reason, so be yourself. Imitation may be a form of flattery, but it's not a winning recipe that true leaders embody. And, don't act like you own the world, act like you don't care who does.
