The Company
Mainstreet Equity Corporation is a distinguished real estate company which is publicly traded on Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). Its business focus is on acquisition & upgrading of residential properties and managing its own portfolio of over 15,000 residential apartments in five major cities across Canada.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Resident Manager will be responsible for the management of daily operations, administration and maintenance of assigned location(s).
Key Duties and Responsibilities
•Set up appointments and conduct unit showings with prospective tenants
•Negotiate and manage lease of assigned apartments
•Answer current and/or prospective tenant inquiries
•Represent Mainstreet in a professional manner at all times to all tenants, prospective tenants and vendors.
•Leasing of units to maintain market level occupancy rates as determined by senior management.
•Performing general building maintenance and handyman duties, manage tenant maintenance requests to ensure satisfaction and timely completion
•Ensure that residents issues and service requests are addressed within 24 hours
•Clean buildings, suites, maintain surrounding areas and carry out landscaping work
•Perform spring and fall cleanup
•General maintenance of common areas (lobbies, elevators, hallways, stairwells, windows etc.) and amenity areas
•Snow and ice removal, salting of entrances, walkways and surrounding areas
•Inspection of buildings and vacant suites to report on any deficiencies and maintenance requests, repair of turnover suites
•Ensure timely collection and deposits of rental payments and administer damage deposits
•Other relevant duties as assigned by Regional Manager
Qualifications and Requirements
•Experience in property management/sales/hospitality management/customer service
•Prior experience in managing residential properties will be an asset
•Should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
•Must possess a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
•Experience in Yardi system will be an asset
•Flexibility to work 5 days a week, first and last days of every month
•Must successfully complete a security clearance
